WIATT, Mabel Rice - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mabel E. WIATT, 60, died Sunday at 9:00 a.m. at her home north of Waveland. Death was due to complications after six weeks illness. She was born in Newtown April 14, 1885, the daughter of Isaac and Florence Parent Rice. She married William Wiatt Jan 21, 1905 who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Wanetta at home; 3 sons: David at home; Isaac of near Russellville and Leo of near Parkersburg; one sister, Mrs. Clara Rice of Crawfordsville and six grandchildren. In addition to her husband, one son preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. CW Mears officiating. Burial in Freedom Cemetery. The body will lie in state for one hour preceding the service.
