Attica – Joseph G. Weaver, 83, died Saturday noon at his home of a heart attack. Born in Knoxville, Tenn in 1870 he lived on a farm east of Pence for 43 years moving to Attica 8 years ago. In 1900 he married Maude Shade. He was a member of Pence Christian Church. Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star. Surviving besides the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Kiger of Covington and Mrs. Dorothy Compton of Lisbon, Ill. --transcribed by kbz
