Attica, July 13 – Mrs. Olive Watkins, 58, who lived seven miles northwest of Attica died Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been ill two weeks. She was married to Harry Watkins March 5, 1913 and was a member of the Independence Ev. United Brethren Church. Surviving besides the husband are four daughters: Mrs. Lucille Koekenburg; Mrs. Phyllis Cheesman and Mrs. Carolyn Peterson all of Attica and Mrs. Eva Hudson at home; four sons, Everett and Francis, Lafayette; Henry, Attica and Robert El Paso, Tex; a sister, Mrs. Anna Franklin of Attica; and three brothers, Charles Scarlett, Lafayette; Luther Scarlett, Green Hill and Edward Scarlett, Hoopeston, Ill. --transcribed by kbz
