WATERMAN, Sarah Verdelia Parsons Mellott - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mellott, Aug 8 – Mrs. Sarah Verdelia (Della) Waterman died this morning at Central Hospital at Indianapolis where she had been for a year. Born Aug 12, 1864 in Mellott she was a daughter of Jacob and Nancy Jane Parsons.  Her early life was spent in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Meharry of Shawnee Mound and Lafayette.  She had resided in Mellott for 30 years.  Mrs. Waterman was twice married 30 years ago to John B. Mellott on Feb 4, 1918 to Homer G. Waterman.  Both husbands preceded her in death.  Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Sylvester Gaylor of Crawfordsville; a half brother, Guy Auter of Mellott; a a step son, Arthur D. Waterman of Mellott.  The body will be taken from the Crumley & Son Funeral Home at Covington to the Arthur Waterman home Sunday.  Funeral services Monday.  Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. – kbz
