Mrs. Thomas Walsh, (couldn’t find her full name), who was taken to St. Elizabeth’s hospital at Danville, Ill some six weeks ago suffering from cancer and for which she was operated upon about a week later died in the above institution Saturday night at 10:25 o’clock after a painful illness. On Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock funeral services were held from the parlors of the Walz (sic) Understanding establishment, No 112 W Main St over her remains. She was the wife of Thomas Walsh of this city. Following the services which were brief but impressive the body was borne to the Atherton Cemetery east of Danville where they were consigned to their last resting place. Rev. Palmer, pastor of the Methodist Church of this city conducted the last sad rites. A large number of people of Covington were in Danville to attend the funeral. ---kbz
