WHYDE, Mary Lamb Harper - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica - Mary Ellen Harper Whyde, 75 of Rt. 1, Attica, died at 2:25 a.m. today in Meadow Heights Nursing Home at Willamsport where she had been a patient 4 years. A Fountain County resident most of her life, she formerly resided at Winchester. Mrs. Whyde was born Sept 29, 1910 in Fountain County, a daughter of Samuel O. and Mary E. Brewr Lamb. She was married to Charles Harper who preceded her in death in 1964 (? 1954?). She was married to Drexel H. Whyde who preceded her in death 1977. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Orville (Bertha) Lockhart of Rt. 1, Attica; a nephew, Steve Lamb of Attica; a niece, Sheila Dill of Danville, ill. A brother preceded her in death. Services are set for 1 p.m. Friday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Rev. Curts officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
