KINGMAN --- John Casey Whyde, 65, a farmer near Cates who lived on Rt. 1, Kingman, died at 8 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. He was ill eight weeks. He was a native of Perrysville and had been a farmer before working 18 years in maintenance for the Nickel Plate Railroad before retiring in 1960. He was married in 1935 to Nellie S. Allen. Surviving with the widow is a son, Ethan, of Kingman.   --typed by Walt W

Veedersburg, Indiana - John (Casey) Whyde, 65, Kingman Rt 1, died Friday night, April 2, 1965 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been ill 8 weeks. He was born March 26, 1900 at Perrysville, Ind, the son of Edward and Delia Sanders Whyde. He was married October 29, 1935 to Nellie S. Allen. She survives along with a son, Ethan Allen Whyde of Kingman. He had lived on a farm near Cates for 30 years and he worked for Nickel Plate Railroad for 18. He retired in 1960 due to ill health. THe body is at the Several Mortuary in Veedersburg for services at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate with burial in Snoddy's Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.   -- kbz

John (Casey) Whyde, 65, Fountain County native of near Cates, died Friday night at 8 o'clock at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville Ill., following an eight-week illness.
Born at Perrysville on March 6, 1900, he was the son of Edward and Delia Sanders Whyde.  He married Nelly S. Allen on Oct. 29, 1935.
Mr. Whyde had lived on a farm near Cates for the past 30 years. He retired from the Nickkplate Railroad, where he had worked for 18 years, in 1960 due to ill health.
Survivors include the widow, and a son, Ethan Lee Whyde of Kingman.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sever Mortuary in Veedersburg, with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating.  Burial was in the Snoddy Cemetery south of Covington.
