Mrs. Byron Allen of Hillsboro, received a message Sunday telling of the death of her nephew, Paul Whitman who died Sunday following surgery for a brain tumor in a Detroit, Michigan hospital. He was the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Isaaiah Whitman who resided in the vicinity of Wallace for a number of years when he served as pastor of the Wallace Lutheran Church. He is survived by his widow and one sister, Mrs. Edith Ade of near Lafayette. Mrs. Ade and son and Mr. and Mrs. Allen left Tuesday to attend the funeral service which will be held in Detroit at 1 p.m. Wednesday. – kbz
