Miss Rose Whitley, aged 18 daughter of JN Whitley of this city died at Norman, Oklahoma Friday morning at 4:30 o’clock of typhoid fever.  She had been at Norman visiting friends since last January and had written to her father a short time before she took sick that she would start for Attica Oct 2d but in this she failed to realize her hope for the day before her expected departure for her home she was taken to her bed. The remains were shipped to Rockford Ohio for interment where Mr. Whitley has two other children buried.  Mr. Whitley and family left for Rockford Friday morning.

We off the following obituary note of the death of Miss Mary Whitley from the Norman Oklahoma Telescript Rosa Whitley was born in Ashton ? Ill Nov 15, 1875; she united with the Presbyterian Church when but 8 years of age. She united with the MI Church at Mt. Pulaski, Ill June 1892 and with the MI Church of Norman, Okla Nov 1893.  She was a member of the Ladies Circle also of the Ladies band. She was patient in sickness, enduring pain without a murmur, thinking of the comfort of others made than her own.  She died in the triumph of Christian faith Nov 3, 1893. Her funeral sermon was preached by her pastor at the MI Church Nov 5, 1893 to a large congregation of sorrowing friends.
