COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) -- Mrs. Mary Emma White, 94, of Covington, died at 2:50 a.m. today (July 2, 1969) at the Tall Trees Nursing Home in Covington, where she had resided for the past two years. Born Aug. 31, 1875 in Verden, Ky., she was the daughter of Achilles and Elizabeth Berry Ware. She married William Stephen in 1893. He died in 1910. In 1943 she married Charles White who preceded her in death in 1956. She was a resident of Fountain and Warren counties most of her life and was a member of the Galloway Chapel Church. She is a former resident of Greene County. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Beatrice) Garrison of Covington Route 1; four stepsons, Verl White, Roy White, and Leo White, all of Switz City, and Maurice Massing of Attica; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lucy Clark of Attica; 18 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EDT Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.   --typed by Walt W

COVINGTON - Mrs. Mary Emma White, age 94, of Covington, died at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at the Tall Trees Nursing Home here where she had resided for the past two years.
Mrs. White was born Aug. 31, 1874, in Verden, Ky., the daughter of Achilles and Elizabeth Berry Ware.  She married William Stephens in 1893 and he preceded her in death in 1910.  In 1943 she married Charles white, who died in 1956. She was a resident of Fountain and Warren counties most of her life.  She was a member of Galloway Chapel Church in Warren County and she was a former resident of Greene County.
Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. John (Beatrice) Garrison of Covington Rt. 1; four step-sons, Verl White, Roy White, and Leo White, all of Switz City, and Maurice Massing of Attica; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucy Clark of Attica; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here.  The Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiated and burial was in the West Lebanon Cemetery.
