Mrs. Elizabeth Ann White, age 83, of Danville Rt. 5, mother of Mrs. Opal Julian of Danville Rt. 5, a former resident of Covington, died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday, July 17, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where she had been a patient four days.
Mrs. White was born Jan. 18, 1883 in Fithian, Ill., the daughter of Thomas and Jane McElwee Mapes. She was married in 1900 to John Richard White, who preceded her in death in 1960. She retired 12 years ago as a cook at Connor's Restaurant. She was a member of the First Church of Christ of Covington.
Surviving are: one son, Herman White of Williamsport Rt. 2; one daughter, Mrs. Julian; 14 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one brother; one sister; one son; one daughter and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home in Danville. The Rev. Edgar F. Allen, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church of Covington, officiated. Burial was in Upper Mound Cemetery, west of Covington.
