Joseph A. Wever, a farmer died at his home southwest of Hillsboro about 4 p.m. Saturday Dec 14 following a heart attack.  He had been in failing health. Born near Bedford, Ind April 2, 1880 the son of Joseph and Margaret Smith Wever. On May 18, 1904 he was married to Maude Hill in Leesburg, Ind. They moved to this community from Collison, Ill 16 years ago. He was a member of the Christian Church of Hope, Ill.  Survivors are the widow, one son Joseph of Mishawaka, Ind; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Stine RR Covington; one brother, George Wever of Darlington.  Funeral services were held at Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev JB Cornett of Danville, Ill officiating.  Organ music was by Mrs. Mary Louise Newman. Pall bearers who also assisted with flowers were: Claude Harding, Leslie Bell, Dallas Livingston, Stanley Bever, Dale Bever and Archie Light. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. – kbz

HILLSBORO—Joseph A. Wever, 77, died at 4 p.m. Saturday of a heart ailment at his farm home southwest of Hillsboro. He was born near Bedford April 2, 1880, and was a son of Joseph and Margaret Smith Wever. He was married in Leesburg May 18, 1904, to Maude Hill. They moved to this community from Colison, Ill., 16 years ago. Mr. Wever was a member of the Christian Church at Hope, Ill. Surviving are the widow; a son, Joseph of Mishawaka; daughter, Mrs. Margaret Stine of near Covington, and brother, George of Darlington. Funeral rites are set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. J. B. Cornett of Danville, Ill., will be the minister and interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
