Charles Allen Westfall, 84, a former automobile dealer in Crawfordsville who also operated an automotive accessory store, died Sunday morning in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Westfall had moved with his wife, the late Minnie Belle Elliott, to Florida after retirement in Crawfordsville. The couple were married on June 6, 1908 in Van Buren, Ind and spent most of their married life in Crawfordsville. she preceded him in death Nov 18, 1965. Mr. Westfall had owned and operated the first automobile tire shop in Crawafordsville. He also sold radios and was an auto dealer and owned and operated the accessory store which was located at the corner of Green & Market Streets. He was at one time manager of the Montgomery County License Branch. The couple had retierd to St. Petersburg, FL in 1948, moving to Jacksonville in July of 1962. Mr. Westfall was born March 15, 1881, near New Richmond, the son of Joe and Mary Jane Francis Westfall. He was a graduate of Indianapolis business College. He was a member of the St. Petersburg Christian Church. He was also a member of the Montgomery Masonic Lodge NO 50 and the chapter, council and comandery. As a hobby, Mr. Westfall composed sacred music and several of his compositions were used in St. Petersburg churches. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Albert Weimer of Wabash, ind; Mrs. Charles R. Jones of Bronxville, NY; Miss Margaret Westfall of Winston Salem, NC and Mrs. Logan Lamb of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bright Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. Rev. Ralph Moore Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Crawfordsville Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Masonic services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wed at the funeral home with Kenneth Reichard in charge. - kz
