Mrs. Minnie West, age 85, a resident of Covington for 66 years, died at 4:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient a few hours. Mrs. West was born Nov. 23, 1880, the daughter of Daniel and Flora Mae McKenny Hodge, in St. Joseph, Ill. She previously had resided in St. Joseph. She was married first to Rollie Harden in 1905, and then to Oscar West in 1935. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Fifth St., Covington. Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Ollie Hegg; one son, Robert Harden; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Cruea and Mrs. Nellie Levi, all of Covington; two brothers, Jess and Frank Hodge, both of California; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, one daughter, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. E. E. McConnell officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.   --typed by Walt W

Mrs. Minnie West, 85, a resident of Covington for the past 66 years, died at 4:20a.m. yesterday (Jan. 17, 1966) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had been a patient there two hours and in ill health a month.
Born Nov. 23, 1880, in St. Joseph, Ill., she was the daughter of Daniel and Flora Mae McKenney Hodge. She was married in 1905 to Riley Harden and later to Oscar West. Both preceded her in death. She was a member of the 5th Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ollie Hegg, a son, Robert Harden, and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Cruea and Mrs. Nellie Levi, all of Covington; two brothers, Frank Hodge and Jesse Hodge, both of California; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great -grandchildren.
She also Gas preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
The body is at the Hegg Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete.
