Mrs. Meck Devera Wesley, 79, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday Jan 26, 1958 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Phelps of Attica. Rt 1. She had been ill two weeks. Born Oct 2, 178 in Bethelridge, KY she was the daughter of Silas and Mary Jane Jones and had resided in Attica seven years. On Sept 4, 1895 she was married to Millard F. Wesley who preceded her in death in 1947. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Aquilla Phelps of Attica Rt 1 and Mrs. Dorothy Haggard of Ware, Ky; two sons, Tenton Wesley of Hedrick, Ind and Edward Wesley of Judyville, Ind; three sisters, Tina Wesley and Mrs. Sarah DeBord both of Louisville, Ky and Mrs. Anna Phelps of Hedrick; three brothers, Sam Jones of Eubank, Ky; Lawrence Jones of Tilton, Ill; 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Bethelridge Methodist Church of Bethelridge, KY with burial there. – kbz
