Williamsport—Mrs. Lela K. Keller Wertz, 95, 13 Jackson St., Williamsport, was dead on arrival at Community Hospital, Williamsport, at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 1989.
She was born Feb. 5, 1894 in Fountain County, the daughter of Felix and Mary Hall Keller. She had resided in sterling before moving to Williamsport 69 years ago. She was married March 11, 1916 in Veedersburg to Herschel J. Wertz, a welder at Harrison Steel Castings Co., Attica, and he preceded her in death in 1951.
She was a homemaker. She attended Williamsport United Methodist church and was a charter member of Bunco Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Maxine) Stewart, Williamsport; Mrs. Doris Pugh, Portage, and Mrs. Charles (Betty) Millburg, Attica; one son, Kenneth, Williamsport; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald, and a brother, David Keller.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Fisher Funeral Home Chapel, Williamsport, with the Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg.
