Hillsboro — It has been learned here that Mrs. Dorothy Wendall, age 45, formerly of this community, died at 10 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in a hospital in Mesa, Ariz., after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Wendall was born in Indianapolis June 23, 1917, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Williams. She was married in 1936 to Charles Wendall of Hillsboro. The marriage took place in Dayton, Ohio where they lived for several years before moving to Hillsboro. They owned and operated an electric store and gift shop until 1960, when they moved to Arizona. Surviving are the husband, two half-brothers and a half-sister. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Gibbons Desert View Chapel in Mesa with burial in that city. --typed by Walt W

Friends and relatives of Hillsboro learned Saturday night that Mrs. Dorothy Wendall, 45, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Hillsboro,
died at 10 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at a Mesa Hospital. She had been seriously ill for several weeks, but had been able to spend a short time at her home prior to her death.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Williams and was born in Indianapolis June 23, 1917. The early part of her life was spent in Ohio and she was married to Charles Wendall, formerly of Hillsboro, in Dayton, Ohio, in 1936. They resided in Dayton for several years and then moved to Hillsboro where they were engaged in business, operating an electric store and gift shop. In 1960 they moved to Mesa to make their future home.
She is survived by her husband; two half brothers and one half sister.
Funeral service was held at the Gibbons Desert View Chapel at Mesa at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with burial in that city.
