WELTON, Edwin Charles - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

  Edwin Charles Welton of the Portland Arch area, age 79, died Tuesday night, January 25, in Home Hospital at Lafayette. He was born in Hendricks County, Ohio, January 8, 1904, the son of Emmet R. and Gusta Welton. Welton had been employed by Youngstown Steel and Coop Company and was a member of the United Steel Workers at East Chicago.

  Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Lamb of Macomb, Illinois, and Irene Goodman of Crown Point; a brother, Howard Welton of Victoria, Texas; several nieces and nephews, including Ron Welton, with whom he had lived for the past eight months.

  Graveside services were held Thursday in New Cemetery at Robinson, Illinois. Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to s
