ATTICA — Frances Elaine Wells,
77, Attica, died at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 in Woodland Manor Nursing
Center, Attica. She was born July 25, 1930 in Attica, the daughter of Roy V.
and Gladys L. (McCormick) Wells. She attended school in the Attica and Richland
Township Schools. She had lived most of her life in the Attica and Newtown
areas. She had worked at RMC Central Lab in West Lafayette, Summers Metal Craft
in Crawfordsville and Goodwill Industries in Indianapolis. She had attended
Hopewell Baptist Church in Newtown. She enjoyed oil painting and spending time
with her pets. Survivors include: a sister, Betty Abolt, Newtown; a
sister-in-law, Betty Wells, Attica; nieces and nephews, Carolyn (Don) Glenn,
Phyllis (James) Jordan, Jeff (Diana) Abolt, “Tina” (Scott) Clawson and Lisa
(Jeff) Troike; and great nieces and great nephews, Eric, Brett, Sean, Julie,
Tina, Lisa, Stephen, Jason, Adam, Karisa, Kylee and J. T. She was preceded in
death by her parents; a brother, Richard Wells; a nephew, Michael Abolt; and a
great nephew, Brian Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time at noon
Nov. 24 in Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Burial of cremated remains to follow in
Newtown Cemetery. Contributions may be made to NAMI in Lafayette. Condolences
