Wallace - Mrs. Fanny Evelyn Weeks, 73, died at 4:20 p.m. Monday at her home here. She had been in failing helath about 4 years and seriously ill two weeks. Mrs. Weeks served as the telephone operator here for 25 years. She was a member of the Wallace Christian Church and OES. Born Nov 8, 1888 she was a daughter of Henry and Amanda Harper Bowman. She married Lee Weeks Aug 19, 1908. He died Sept 19, 1947. Mrs. Weeks received her elementary education in Wallace schools. Surviving are a stepson, Evan Weeks of Indianapolis and four sisters, Mrs. Goldie Bayless of Wallace; Mrs. Cora McCollum of near Kingman and Mrs. Belva Harper and Mrs. Flossie Shuler, both of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arista. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian Church here. Rev. John Servies will be in charge and will be assisted by Rev. Morris Finch. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery east of here. Friends may pay respects at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro Tuesday aftenroon and evening. Body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Fannie Evelyn Weeks, age 73, of Wallace, died at her residence at 4:10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10. She had been in failing health four years and seriously in two weeks.
Born near Wallace Nov. 8, 1888, she was the daughter of Henry and Amanda Harper Bowman. She was educated in Wallace schools and served as a telephone operator for 25 years. Mrs. Weeks was a member of the Wallace Christian Church and of the Wallace Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She was married to Lee Weeks, Aug. 19, 1908 and he died Sept. 9, 1947.
