James Weddel, 70, of
Veedersburg, died at 6:47 a.m. at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis on Friday,
April 7, 2000. Born on January 4, 1930 in Beecher, Illinois, he was the son of
the late Delbert Paul and Elizabeth Anise (Conrad) Weddel Sr. His marriage was
to Ethel B. Ford on March 31, 1962 in Monee, Illinois. She preceded him in
death on June 7, 1998. Surviving, are: two brothers, Delbert P. Weddel Jr. of
Park Forest, Illinois and Mark I. Weddel of Illinois; two sisters, Joyce
(Daniel) Parkson and Mary Brindy, both of Veedersburg. He was also preceded in
death by a sister. Mr. Weddel was a member of the Veedersburg Church of The
Nazarene. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was retired from the Tweet’sa
Disposal Service of Homewood. Visitation was Sunday at Dickerson Funeral Home,
Veedersburg. Service there on Monday with Rev. Edwin Retter officiating.
Interment in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. Preferred memorials to First
Church of the Nazarene, Veedersburg. –
