Funeral services for John L. Webster, 70, former resident of the Waynetown and Hillsboro areas who died at a nursing home at Delta, Colo Nov 29 were held at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiated and burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Webster was born March 10, 1890 near Marshall the son of Albert and Ida May Haas Webster. He was married Dec 21, 1914 to Verda Pierce and she preceded him in death Jan 20, 1951. He was a painter and paperhanger and also was employed by the Charles Snyder Gas Service. In later years he and his wife moved to Hillsboro and after the death of his wife he went to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Helen Harbath of Montrose, Colo. He had been a patient in the nursing home at Delta for the past year. Survivors include the daughter; a son, Hugh J. Webster who is engaged in business in Hillsboro; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are two cousins, William Shultz and Mrs. MB Snyder of Waynetown. Preceded him in death besides the wife were an infant son, Paul Leonard Webster and three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Perry, Mrs. Edith Davies and Mrs. Mamie Pickett. – kbz
