Wingate, June 21 – Mrs. Laura Galey Webb, 82, former resident of Wingate, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. EM Shaler at Los Angeles, Calif June 18. Mrs. Galey was born near Cincinnati, Ohio and was married to Joseph Galey of Roachdale who died in 1931. She married again to Charles Webb of Wingate and in 1936 after the death of her second husband, moved to California. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Pythian Sisters and Eastern Star. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Long, California, and Mrs. Crettie Wallace, Crawfordsville; the daughter, Mrs. Shaler; a stepson, JM Webb, Wingate and stepdaughter, Mrs. David Groves, Crawfordsville. The body will arrive at Linden early Thursday morning and will be brought to the Teague funeral home here. The daughter will accompany the body and services will be held in the Wingate Methodist Church. - kbz
