Mrs. Sylvia Elvira Murray Watts, 68, a life resident of the Covington area passed away at her home at 1222 Third St. at 2:45 p. m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 1960. She had been in failing health for six years. Seriously ill for the last year, she was under the constant care of her daughter for several months. She was born June 9, 1892 in Warren County, the daughter of Frank and Mary E. Collins Murray. She was united in marriage to John Watts in 1921. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mary Marie Gaylor, of Covington, one son, Murray J. Watts, of Attica; nine grandchildren, one brother, James Murray, of Covington; a nephew, Johnnie Watts of Florence, Ala., who was six years old when he came to live with her; other relatives and a host of friends. Before her failing health she was ever striving for the betterment and comfort of her family and friends. Respect and admiration for her will always remain the memory of her many friends and neighbors. --typed by Walt W
