Margaret Ann Watts died July 3, 1899 aged about 71 years. She was born in Davis County, NC and when 10 moved to Fountain County, Indiana. She was married to James Watts Dec 28, 1847. To them were born six children, two sons and four daughters, four of whom have preceded her to the Spirit land, two Mrs. Bowsher and Mrs. Lewis survive her. Mother Watts was a good woman, full of good works, a good wife, loving mother, kind friend and neighbor. Father and Mother Watts lived together about 50 years. She leaves a husband, two daughters, several grandchildren and a large circle of friends. She will be missed in our little town having lived among us about 3 years. Mother Watts was christened in the Lutheran Church of which she lived a faithful member till her death. There is only one member of her family left, James Sowers living just south of Kingman is her brother and the youngest of her family. Funeral services were held in the Friends church conducted by Rev. Miller of ?? church.
