WATSON, Ruth Cowan - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Waynetown – Ruth Bernice Cowan Watson, 79 of Americus, Ga died Saturday in Sumpter Regional Hospital. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Ocala, Fla and a graduate of Wallace HS.  She was born April 7, 1909 at Wallace to Billy and Sadie Elmore Bruner.  She was married to Otha Watson who survives. Also surviving are a son, Duke Cowan of Lake Blackshire, Ga; a daughter, Mrs. Deloris Hillis of Greenfield; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren. A daughter and three brothers are deceased.  Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Rev. James Hatfield officiating. Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown is in charge of arrangements. -s
