Robert M. Watson, 62, of Rt. 2, Covington, died Monday, July 21, 1975 at his home.
Watson, who resided in Danville, Ill. for two years prior to moving to Covington, was supervisor of patient effects at the Danville Veterans Administration Hospital.
He was born in Plainfield, N. J., Dec. 10, 1912 to John and Fannie Martenis Watson. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Watson was a veteran of both the Army and Air Force, with a total of 28 years military service. He had been an Air Force warrant officer and retired as a master sergeant from Chanute Air Force Base at Rantoul, Ill, Sept. 20, 1968.
He was a member of the society of Friends (Quakers), Air Force Sergeants Association, the Veedersburg American Legion Post, Danville Moose Lodge 1001 and International Car Association.
Graveside services were Friday at the Danville Veterans Administration National Cemetery, with the Rev. John Divine, VA chaplain officiating.
Military rites were by an honor guard from Chanute Air Force Base.
Memorials may be in the form of contributions to the Heart Association.
