Mildred Marjorie Watkins, 76, West Lebanon, was found dead at her home Sunday evening, December 10. The Warren County coroner said she had a heart ailment and had fallen on an enclosed porch at her home that morning. An investigation will be conducted to determine whether death was due to the heart problem or exposure to the cold.
She was born near Rockford, Illinois, November 22, 1905, the daughter of George and Emma Sheffield Kinn. In 1925, she married James M. Watkins, who died in 1966. Mrs. Watkins was a member of Hedrick Church where her husband was pastor from 1957 to 1962. She was also a member of the Priscilla and Lydia Clubs of the church and served as a Sunday school teacher and pianist.
Survivors include a son, Daniel B. of Attica; a sister, Blanche Kinn Jones of Wagoner, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at Fisher Funeral Home in West Lebanon with Edward H. Goit Sr. officiating. Burial was in West Lebanon Cemetery. ā thanks so much to āSā
