Frankfort—Lewis Wayne Warren, 71, formerly of Frankfort, died at 11:57 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 1989 in United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville, Ill., after a lengthy illness.

  He was born Oct. 21, 1917 in Frankfort and had lived in Danville for many years.

  He retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville. He had worked there as a custodian for more than twenty years.
  He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Frankfort.

  Surviving are two sons, Dennis, Danville, and Paul, West Lebanon; one daughter, Patricia Christensen, Danville; two stepsons, Bill Abbott, Westville, Ill., and Larry Abbott, Frankfort; two stepdaughters, Joyce Galvin, Frankfort, and Linda Gordon, Kokomo; a sister, Betty Zartman, Kewana; five brothers, Don, Bloomington; Russell, Kokomo; Fred, Frankfort; David, Albright, w. Va., and Burl, Colfax; 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

  Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Burial was in Bethel Hill Cemetery, near Thorntown. – thanks to S
