William Charles Warner, student in the Pine Village High School, age 15 years, 11 months and six days, passed away at his home in Independence, Ind. Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 4:30 a.m. He was born on Nov. 5, 1933 at Benton Harbor, Michigan, the son of Charles and Ida Holtz Warner. He had been ill the past two months suffering from myocarditis. Young Warner spent his early childhood in Benton Harbor, Mich., moving to Independence four years ago. He was a member of the EUB Church in Independence, Ind. Survivors are the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Warner; two brothers, Thomas Warner and Robert Warner, both at home; one sister, Evelyn Warner, at home; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Holtz of Independence; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rusty Warner, Fennville, Michigan. The body will be taken to the family home in Independence Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the EUB Church in Independence Thursday, Oct. 13th at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mr. Shaw officiating. The body will be taken to the church at 1:00 p.m. Thursday to lie in state one hour preceding the service. Burial will be in the Swank Cemetery, Warren County. Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
