Robert D. Ware, 51, of 8 Jackson, Williamsport, a resident of the area most of his life and of Williamsport for the past 15 years, died Tuesday (Jan. 27, 1976 ) at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He had been a patient since Jan. 9 and had been ill seven months. Born Jan. 1, 1925, in Covington, he was the son of Clare “Bud” and Ruth Ricketts Ware. He was married July 17, 1947, in Greenburg, Ind., to Eleanor Manlief, who survives. Mr. Ware had attended West Lebanon schools and had been an electrician. He had been employed at the Dri-All Inc. in Attica and formerly worked for Sanborne Electric in Lafayette and National Homes. He was a veteran of service in the Army during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 259 and the volunteer fire department. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Helen) Leonard of Danville and Mrs. Jerry (Vicki) Koekenberg of Attica; a son, Jimmy of Attica; his mother of West Lebanon; five brothers, Bill of Monticello, Joe of Newton, Ill., Gene of Excelsior Springs Mo., Jack in the Air Force in Vermont and Larry of Kramer; two sisters, Mrs. Thurston (Helen) Hunt of Henderson, Ky., and Miss Patricia Ware of West Lebanon; and two grandchildren. Services Thursday at the Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport. The Rev. Joe Shryock offciating. Burial in West Lebanon Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be by American Legion Post 259. – jlr
