NEW RICHMOND — Mrs. Musa Washburn Ward, 89, a resident of New Richmond most of her life, died Monday morning in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Lyons at New Richmond. Born March 17, 1871, at New Richmond, Mrs. Ward was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. D. M. Washburn. Her father was a practicing physician in the New Richmond community for more than half a century. Mrs. Ward married Jerry Ward, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by two children and a brother, Nick Washburn of Lafayette. Mrs. Ward was a member of the New Richmond Christian Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Helms Funeral Home at Linden. Burial will be at New Richmond Cemetery. Rev. John Cachiaras of the New Richmond Christian Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
