WARD, Faye Barker - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Faye WARD, 64, wife of John W. Ward, Superintendent of Montgomery County schools, died Thursday morning at Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since Nov. 11. She had been ill two months. Born April 2, 1892 at Attica, Mrs. Ward was the daughter of Monroe and Zinnia Dove Barker. She married John W. Ward of Crawfordsville April 2, 1910. Mrs. Ward was associated with her husband in the office of the county superintendent of schools for a number of years. She was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church and Circle W of the church. Surviving besides the husband are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Rachel HUNTER of Bedford; two grandsons, Nelson and John Hunter; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Meek of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Walter Sandeffer of LaPorte and a brother, Robert Barker of Crawfordsville. Funeral service were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Dr. J Harry Cotton of Wabash Cotton officiating. Burial at Masonic Cemetery.
