WANTLAND, Bert - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Funeral services for Bert Wantland, 72, of Newtown, who died in the Community Hospital, Williamsport, Saturday, Nov. 2, were held at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica at 2 p.m. Tuesday.  Rev. Douglas Dickey of Williamsport officiated and burial took place in Attica.

Mr. Wantland was born in Spabinaw, Okla.  He had lived in Newtown five years after retiring from employment at Inland Steel Company at East Chicago.  Two brothers, Hush, of Hoopeston, Ill.; and Sy of Foley, Mo.; and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Hughes of Newtown; Mrs. Ethel Moran, Attica; Mrs. Edith Brubaker, Hoopeston; and Mrs. Laura Flynn, Lafayette, survive.
