J. W. Wallace, a respectable young man of Shawnee Prairie, met with a severe accident on the 23d ult., which resulted in his death. He was driving cattle and some of them, becoming frightened, and commenced running. As he was riding at full speed after them, his horse stumbled, throwing him upon his head on the hard ground. The fall injured his skull in such a manner that he died in a few hours. – s
