KINGMAN — Funeral services for James A. (Ira) Wallace, age 70, of Kingman Rt. 1, who died Tuesday morning, July 20, at his home, were held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Woodrow Funeral Home here. Pastor Lowell Barnard officiated and burial was in the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Wallace, who had been ill several years, was born April 7, 1895, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Wallace. He was married to Elizabeth Howard Feb. 28, 1941. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He had been retired since 1956.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Wilson of Crawfordsville; three sons, Virgil, Roger and David, all at home; two stepsons, Estel and Junior Sloop, both of Danville, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Lillian West of Powell, Tenn., and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
