Wallace, Mrs. Eva - Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at Roemer FUneral Home, Attica. Services at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Methodist Church, Attica, Rev. Louis Haskell officiating; burial in Riverside cemetery. Surviving are 16 grandchildren.

Attica - Mrs. Eva Merle Crawford Wallace, 66, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday in her home at 414 East Monroe, Attica. She was found in a coma by Mrs. George Johnson, whose three-year-old daughter was cared for during the day by Mrs. Wallace. Mrs. Johnston had gone to pick up her daughter and finding the door locked thought Mrs. Wallace had taken the child and gone visiting. She later returned with a neighbor and found the child sleeping and Mrs. Wallace in a coma.
Born at Oakwood, Ill she was first married to Leroy Kerns who died . In 1929 she was married to Harley Wallace who died four years ago. Mrs. Wallace was a member of Attica First Methodist Church and OES Chapter 125. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Wood of Indianapolis; two sons, Bill Kerns of Indianapolis and Charles H. Wallace of Ft. Wayne; three stepsons, Harold Wallace of Sacramento, Calif; Roy B. Wallace, Washington DC and Walter Wallace of Dallas, Tex; three sisters, Mrs. Ray White of Hammond and Mrs. Ella Parkton and Mrs. Elizabeth Brandt of Danville, Ill and a brother, Dewey Crawford of Hammond. -- kbz
