FORT MYERS, Fla. — Lt. Col. Leolus "Ike” L. Wall, U.S. Army Ret., 93, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006 in Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, Fla. He had been in failing health the past two years. He was born near Rob Roy in Fountain County on April 6, 1913, the son of Ernest and Clista (Van Hook) Wall. He was married to Norma (Crawford) Wall, who survives. He was a graduate of Attica High School and then joined the U. S. Army. Following his retirement from the Army, he was employed by the Social Security Administration in Ft. Myers. Until his death he was extremely active with gardening, landscaping and raising orchids. A noted master gardener, he gave seminars and spoke on the subject. He also enjoyed garage and yard sales. Survivors, besides the wife, include: three daughters, Sandy (Richard) Taylor, Newtown, Daphne Casciano, Basking Ridge, N.J., and Deborah Hyman, Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Margery Fletcher, Attica; and several grandchildren. He will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. on Oct. 26. Family & Friends Funeral Home, Wingate, is assisting the family with local arrangements.
