Hillsboro - Jack E. Walker, 63 of Rt 1, Hillsboro died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient 10 days. He was a barber in the Crawfordsville are for many years. A native of the Hillsboro community, he was born April 25, 1903 to the late John and Katherine Wilt Walker. He was married to Edith M. Pierce in Crawfordsville July 31, 1928.  Mr. Walker was a high school graduate in Cincinnati and member of the Hillsboro Christian Church. Surviving are the wife; a son, Jack W. and daughter-in-law, Penny Walker of Rt 1, Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Kyle and Kittina Walker; a brother, Jack C. Walker of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Gretchen Harris of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Fay Deiterle of Romney and Mrs. Edna Dickey of Florida and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Guy Tremaine will officiate and burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

Jack E. Walker, age 63, of Hillsboro Rt. 1, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, June 9, in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient 10 days.
He was a barber in the Crawfordsville area for many years. A native of the Hillsboro community, he was born April 25, 1903 to the late John and Katherine Wilt Walker. He was married in Crawfordsville July 31, 1928 to Edith M. Pierce, who survives. Mr. Walker was a high school graduate in Cincinnati, Ohio and a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: one son, Jack W., and daughter-in-law, Penny Walker of Hillsboro Rt. 1; two grandchildren, Kyle and Kittina Walker; one brother, Jack C. Walker of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Gretchen Harris of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Fay Dieterle of Romney and Mrs. Enda Dickey of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Servies Funeral Home m Waynetown. The Rev, Guy Tremaine officiated and burial was in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
