WALKER, Florence - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg friends were grieved last week to learn of the passing of Mrs. Dean E. Walker of Milligan College, Tenn. Having suffered a heart attack two weeks earlier, she was thought to be improving steadily when a final attack struck.  Florence Walker, beloved wife of Dr. Dean E. Walker who is now serving as President of Milligan College was well known in the Veedersburg community. Dr. Walker served the First Christian Church of Veedersburg for several years as Pastor meanwhile filling a full professorship at Butler University IN Religious History.  Their work here continues to bear fruit daily and those who knew them are deeply grieved by Mrs. Walker’s passing.  She was a loving wife and mother, a gracious and cultured woman. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, a son and several grandchildren. – kbz
