Chester A. Walker, 72 of 1406 Johnson Street died at 8:15 p.m. Friday in the Scott Nursing Home where he had been a patient only a few hours. He had been in failing health four years. He lived in the home of Mrs. Gladys Plumb. Born near Covington, he was a painter and spent most of his life in Lafayette. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. There are no immediate survivors.
