Waynetown, August 2 - Aunt Emeline (sic - tombstone says Adeline) Walker died at the home of her son, A.C. Walker, Monday just afternoon, having reached her 82nd year. Her husband died over 30 years ago, since which time she has lived with her son and wife on the old home place. She has three daughters: Mrs. Arista Nebeker of Covington; Mrs. David Livengood of Hillsboro; and Mrs. Adele Hester of Indianapolis. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:30 at the home conducted by PJ Lough. The body will be placed at rest by the side of her husband in Cold Spring Cemetery east of Veedersburg. There are but few more perfectly rounded out Christian lives than Grandma Walker. Fover over 60 years she has been true to her Master. Her membership was in the Ingersoll Chapel Christian Church. -- kbz

Waynetown, Aug 4 -- Wednesday forenoon at her late residence occurred the funeral services for Aunt Adaline Walker, P.J. Lough delivering the sermon. She was the daughter of Andrew and Margaret Ainsworth and was born in Warren County, Ohio, Jan 12, 1828. Sixteen years later she married James Walker and moved to Fountain County, Indiana. To this union there were born 10 children, four of whom survive her: Mrs. Belle Livengood of Hillsboro; Mrs. Arista Nebeker of Covington; Mrs. Adeile Hester of Indianapolis; and A. Curtis Walker, with whom she has made her home since the death of her husband in 1868. Like Mrs. Garfield, she had the chief care of bringing up her children, her husband serving thru the civil war and dying but two years after its close. For 42 years she lived in widowhood, caring for her own, while able and then having the joy of leaning upon the strong arm of loved ones at the last. More than 60 years of her life, she has been a member of the Church of Christ. The body was placed by the side of her husband in the Cold Spring Cemetery near Veedersburg. -- kbz
