HILLSBORO – Mrs. Maude H. Wales, 76, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday morning in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where she had been a patient one day. She and her husband, the late Emery Wales, operated the Wales Piano and Organ Co. here for many years. Mrs. Wales was educated in Tudor Hall School at Indianapolis. She was born March 31, 1896, at Stinesville, a daughter of Albert and Anna Ferris Hoadley. She married Emery Wales on Dec. 18, 1944, at Bloomington. He died Dec. 31, 1971. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. A. H. (Marian) Drews of Danville, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. E. M. West of Rehoboth, Del.; a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a. m. Thursday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home here, with Rev. Walter C. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
