Dale L. Waldron, 56, died at noon Thursday, July 24, in his home at Route 3, Covington. He was born Oct. 22, 1929, in Fountain County. He attended school at Portland Arch, Covington, and was a life resident of the county. His first marriage was Feb. 26, 1951, to Marjorie Patton. She died May 23, 1979. On Aug. 11, 1979, he married Lou E. Martin., who survives. He was a member of Community Bible Church. His hobby was gardening. He planned to retire Aug. 1 from Alcoa, Lafayette. He was employed there 28 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. For several years, he operated a garage in Veedersburg. Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Valerie Waldron, Lafayette, and Sheila Taylor, Covington; a son, Dale Leon Waldron II, at home; five stepchildren, Cindy Strawser, Crawfordsville; Julie Ann Catron, Frankfort; Clarence Dale Barley, Colfax; Troy Lee Reed, and Travis Lee Reed, both at home; a brother, Richard Waldron, Route 1, Attica; one sister, Lois Tuggle, Route 3, Covington; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
