WALDON, Rosalla - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Rosella Catherine Waldon, 78 of Wallace died Monday at the Culver Hospital after suffering a stroke two weeks before her death.  She was born March 20, 1874 near Steam Corner, daughter of Francis and Ellen Whitaker. She was married in 1893 to Jacob Bowman who died in 1919. She was later married in 1927 to Thomas Waldon who also preceded her in death. She was a member of Wallace Christian Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Zula Livengood of near Wallace; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ura Hamm of near Wallace and Mrs. Bessie Keller of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Zula Johnson of Kingman and Mrs. Mary E. Hudson of Danville, Ill; a brother, Mahlon Whitaker of Sacramento, Calif; two grandsons and three great grandchildren.  Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial was in the Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. – kbz
