KINGMAN – Jesse Wakeland, 68, a retired farmer, died Wednesday at his home on Rt. 2 Kingman. He was born March 5, 1902, at Veedersburg, a son of Alonzo and Vina Foster Wakeland. On Sept. 8, 1921, he was married to Hazel Shoaf, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Irene Bassett of Perrysville and Mrs. Dorene Bean of near Perrysville, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Woodrow Funeral Home here with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.   -– jlr
