Mrs. Vina Wakeland 78 was found dead at 7:30 p.m. Thursday Dec 12, 1957 at her home on mile north of Kingman where she resided alone. Death was attributed to natural causes. Born in Indiana March 8, 179 she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joyce Foster and was married in 1900 to Alonzo Wakeland. He preceded her in death June 10, 1957. Surviving are a son, Jesse of Kingman rural route; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A sister and a great grandchild preceded her in death. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodrow Funeral Home with Rev. Rachel Osborn officiating. Burial in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. – kbz
