PERRYSVILLE, Ind. (CNS) — Gus Wait, 84, died at 11:42 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 3, 1974) at the Tall Trees Nursing Home. He had been ill 12 years and had been a patient there seven years. He also had formerly been a patient at the Danville Care Nursing Home for one year. Born May 14, 1889, in Danville, he was the son of Albert M. and Lucy Marble Wait. He was married Feb. 12, 1916, to Alice E. Davis, who died Nov. 13, 1972. Mr. Wait formerly resided in Omaha, Neb., and moved to Perrysville in 1936. He farmed in the area before retiring in 1954. Survivors include a son, Wayne D. and a daughter, Mrs. Irene Bland, both of Perrysville Route 1; a brother, Frank of Perrysville; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild, a nephew and two grand nieces. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Grover Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Hicks Cemetery.
