Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

ATTICA – Frank V. Wagner, age 87, of Attica Rt. 2, died at the Home Hospital in Lafayette at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 23, where he had been a patient since Thursday following a tractor accident on his farm. He was born in Fountain County Oct. 6(5), 1880, the son of George and Kathryn Trangenstine Wagner. He lived all his life in the Davis Township area. He was married Dec. 30, 1908, in Attica to Gladys B. Corwin, who survives. Mr. Wagner was a graduate of Old Hall Grade School and he was a retired farmer and sawmill operator. He had been an assessor for two terms, trustee two terms and on the advisory board for the school until one year ago. He was a member of the German Reformed Church, Shawnee Lodge 129, F & AM, and a charter member of the Farm Bureau. Surviving in addition to the wife, are: one son, Vernon of Attica Rt. 2; one grandson, Larry Wagner of West Point Rt. 1, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Eldon Brown officiated and burial was in Salem Cemetery near Odell.   --– jlr

ATTICA - Frank V(alentine) Wagner, age 87, of Attica Rt. 2, died at the Home Hospital in Lafayette at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 23, where he had been a patient since Thursday following a tractor accident on his farm.

Two Indiana men died in farm tractor accidents during the weekend.  
Frank V. Wagner, 87 of Attica died Saturday at a Lafayette hospital, two days after he was run over by a tractor he was driving toward his burning barn.  Firemen saved the barn.

James A. Burns, 25 of Syracuse was crushed to death late Friday when a tractor payloader he was operating while leveling gravel at Ligonier slipped over an embankment. - kbz
