John Waggaman, age 87, of 120'7 Third St., Covington, died at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at the Rudisill Nursling Home in Covington where he had been a patient one year.
Mr. Waggaman was born Jan. 14 1880, in Edgar County, Ill., the son of Charles and Anna Humrichouse Waggaman, He was married Oct. 16, 1901 to Myrtle Belle Antrim, who survives.
He had been a resident of Covington since 1942 and had previously resided in the New Liberty area near Hillsboro. While he lived in Covington, he operated the McNess dealership for the area.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: one son Russell A. of Chrisman, Ill.; One daughter, Miss Edna Gertrude Waggaman of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs, Myrtle Maudlin of Hillsboro; two brothers, Paul of Danville and Harley of Ridgefarm; one grandson and six great-granddaughters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. The Rev. Glenn Ray will officiate and burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at Ridgefarm, Ill.
